District Day of Prayer/Friday June 19,2020

Our D.S. Dr. Bates has authorized me to organize a district wide “Day of Prayer” regarding the watershed protests against police brutality and racial prejudice against African Americans.  These historic protests have touched the hearts of millions of people not just in America, but all over the world. The world community longs to see the humanity of  African Americans respected and protected.  I have requested all the churches in our district to set aside a time of intercessory prayer on Friday June 19, 2020 to pray for our local communities and nation. I will be leading this effort at Remington UMC with a Facebook Live broadcast (2:00pm) of scripture readings and prayer for needed police reforms and the eradication of racial prejudice in our communities. Please join me for this time of prayer and reflection.  Grace and Peace, Pastor Don
